paintings amour

On the weekend I went to the Rupert Bunny exhibition at NSW Art Gallery. His paintings evoked such a strong feeling in me. There is something so sensual, beautiful, sacred and delicious about his works. I loved that when I walked into one of the rooms with his paintings that each painting was very much an impressionist painting - which I'm generally not a huge fan of but that each painting had just a touch or splash of red. It made the painting more provocative then it could have otherwise. His paintings were also so dreamy like. All of them of woman, languid and lazy, dreamy colours lazing about doing beautiful dream like things. Can you tell I was inspired? ( I bought a copy of the above picture)

The below artworks are by Nicholas Harding. I haven't seen any of his paintings in real life but just from seeing them in magazines and online, they evoke a strong sense of curiosity in me. How can all those lumpy gluggy paint strokes create such a strong and clear picture? I'm really inspired this week to better my painting techinique.

I also love Neil Haddons counter images...you can check them out here

LOVE her jacket and her ring...though you can't really see it here. But I love the whole chunky ring thing. I'm working on a range right now with chunky rings.

I really cannot get enough of the sartorialist and garance! I hate this saying but it's so true 'they have their finger on the pulse' of fashion. More then anyone or anything else. I LOVE THEM! Along with everyone else...

how FABULOUS! I've been designing a jade and pearl range. I love that deep green jade.

i love the jumbled look of a bunch of bracelets but it's so important that they are all awesome bracelets mixed together, otherwise it can look really trashy.
